Maureen E. McNeil is a seasoned government relations and fundraising consultant with over two decades of experience advancing public funding, policy advocacy, and strategic development for nonprofit and cultural institutions. She currently leads her own consulting practice, where she partners with clients such as the Queens Museum, and Amas Musical Theatre to secure government funding, shape public engagement strategies, and manage high-impact capital projects.
Previously, Maureen held leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, including at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Madison Square Garden Company, and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts among others. Her career is marked by securing multi-million dollar capital investments, building coalitions across diverse stakeholders, and elevating organizations as policy influencers and community anchors.
Maureen’s strengths lie in navigating complex government landscapes, crafting compelling funding proposals, and leading strategic initiatives. A passionate advocate for the arts, equity, and community building, she brings a dynamic blend of political acumen and mission-driven leadership to every engagement.
